Welcome to Cox Roofing's web site!  My name is Ken Mills and I'm the president of Cox Roofing.  I have many years of field experience, from labor to sales to management, in residential as well as commercial roofing.  I'm beginning a bi-weekly blog about our company as well as to answer questions you might have about roofing in general.  You can use the contact page to submit questions and I will answer them directly and some I will even use in this blog....


Cox Roofing has been in business since 1979 when my father in law, Ron Cox, left his job at GAF as an outside sales rep selling shingles to local lumber yards and contractors.  He had years of roofing experience as well as sales and bidding experience from working at Ajax Supply.  Adding this with his new knowledge from GAF he saw a need in the Ozarks for a reputable roofing company.  At first it was him, his wife Janine Cox, and his brother Phil Cox (our current commercial roof superintendent).  The business grew quickly and in a few years they had an office and warehouse built.


Ron has since retired from full time work but has never stopped helping in the day to day operations.  Janine still works part time.  In addition to the three Cox's who started it all, we have other family members that work for us; my wife, co-owner Lisa (Cox) Mills; my brother in law, salesman Chris Cox; and Phil's daughter, our office manager, Rebecca. We also have several employees who have been with us many years, including salesman Tom Wade and superintendent Chuck Hinkley who have been with Cox 10+ years and are like family.  Although we have moved a few different places over the past 31 years, we still boast the same phone number since day one; 887-3874!  And the funny thing is that all these years later we ended up moving right back on Scenic, two doors down from the original office!
